Is that real that children under two should not use any antihelminthics?

No, it is not totally true that all antihelminthics should be avoided under 2! But I will say yes for some types. Antihelminthics (like albendazole) should be used with cautions in children under 2 years (especially under 1 year). This is because it is not properly studied. Theoretically, some antihelminthics could be harmful to the underdeveloped liver. It can also cause white blood cells and low platelets. Vision may also be affected. Not sure. So it's best to use with cautions. Also, drugs should not be taken with drugs such as Cimetidine, Theophylline, dexamethasone, or praziquante. The side effects of the drug will increase because of that. If you want to use for under one year, you should be given a drug like mebendazole.
